The Iron Man      -      Rolex is known to use the most exotic materials for their, in particular, Day Dates. We have seen Lapis, Onyx, Bloodstone, Tiger's Eye and so on. The Ferrite is to be considered in the same group but  actually is not even a stone, it’s a ceramic material which is made by mixing and firing large amounts of iron. The color scheme usually starts from dark anthracite tones over to different shades of grey. The patterns very but mostly define horizontal lines, in one or the other way they are beautiful and very interesting, almost Zebra like configurations. Though its not really a stone, we see this among the stone dials as the properties are similar. This Ferrite dial is housed in a yellow gold bark finished Day Date Ref.18248 featuring a quick set movement and on top of that comes with box and papers. One of the more uncommon version of the Day Dates with a Killer look.
