Imperial Faberge Chess Set

Fabergé, founded in 1842 by Gustav Fabergé, became famous for its exquisite jeweled creations, particularly the Imperial eggs crafted for Russian tsars from 1885 to 1917. Led by Peter Carl Fabergé, the house blended artistry and luxury for the Royals. The Russian Revolution made it difficult for the brand to survive and eventually the company was shut down.

In the 1980s The Franklin Mint and Fabergé began licensing the Fabergé brand to produce luxury collectibles, combining Fabergé's artistic legacy with Franklin Mint's production expertise. The collaboration included jewelry, coins, and replicas of Fabergé’s famed Imperial Eggs, making these iconic designs accessible to a broader audience. While Franklin Mint popularized Fabergé’s work through affordable items, the partnership helped keep the Fabergé name alive, blending heritage craftsmanship with modern consumerism during the late 20th century.

This glamorous Imperial Chess Set by Franklin Mint consists of green and burgundy jeweled chess pieces with 24k gold plated headpieces inspired by the iconic jewelled eggs by Fabergé. They are housed in a fitted chest with hand-crafted burl wood chess board.

Not only for the joy of playing but as a collectible decoration object for the lounge or office this chess set will draw all the attention.
