Details
The Ranchero - the probably most iconic Omega tool watches were released in the 1950s. The Speedmaster, Railmaster and Seamaster took the lead to be the most coveted collectible watches by Omega today and had one thing in common, the Broad Arrow hands. Just a year after these 3 legends had been born the Ranchero was released. The dials for Ranchero were inspired by the Trilogy and featured the same Broad Arrow hands, the main difference was the case which now was slim and sleek. However the watch, not being a success at that time was quickly declined and discontinued after about two years. The very short run of the Ranchero has made it a little bit of a hidden gem among collectors today and good examples are difficult to find. The example offered here is in great condition featuring a strong case and a flawless matte black dial with original Radium lume present on dial and hands. The size at 36mm is very attractive to wear and though the Ranchero was not a Military watch, it has something which makes you think of Military watches when you see it. A great watch in great condition.
