Details
New Old Stock - Yes, this one is a literally brand new, hardly worn and untouched Rolex Day Date reference 18238 from 1990. It is one from the early ones to have the double quickset function which was introduced in 1988. This stunning example still bears the green sticker on the back and has seemingly spent the longest time in the safe. We believe this has been on the wrist on the way from the Authorized Dealer to the buyer's home and chucked away until it came to us. The gold on case and bracelet is showing patina from age, making it almost look like rose gold, which in this era was not manufactured by Rolex. The bracelet does not show stretch and has all the links not showing any signs that it has ever been sized. The dial is original, still bearing all Tritium plots which have also aged, to a creamy color and are matching the hands. Last but not least this watch comes with the original Warranty Certificate from when it was sold in Korea, the serial number hang tag is also included in the set. Apart from a few handling marks this exceptional Day Date is in new conditions like we would wish to find one.
