The Blue Stone - When we look at Day Dates with particularly blue stone dials, one only thing really comes up is the Lapis which is not very very common today but it is known as THE blue dial. Well that’s if you didn't know the Aventurine dial. This one is a far more uncommon dark blue stone which Rolex has also manufactured to dials. The Aventurine belongs to the group of Quartz minerals and most often comes up in different green hues, the blue Aventurine is pretty uncommon. The best words to describe the color are probably royal blue or midnight blue as it is very dark with a matte surface very finely showing the natural veins and texture. The dial has applied roman numerals and looks stunning with the cream color calendar discs. The overall condition of the watch is exceptionally strong. With very light signs of polishing the case and bracelet look sharp and crisp with healthy proportions. We are very happy to offer this very rare Day Date in a superb condition and in a beautiful collector full set with box and certificate.
