Details
Pink on Pink - Pink Gold Day Dates have been made from the 1950s to 1978 before they were discontinued for more than 20 years. Collectors and Geeks will know that the pink shades of the gold can cary a lot. From light rose tones up to seriously pink color there is not much consistency in the hues of the gold. What we can generally say is that in total, the number of pink gold Day Dates is smaller than for white gold. Here's a very early example from 1959, a reference 6611B with President bracelet and it has a very 'pink' color. The watch is in beautiful vintage condition and is showing somwe wear from age, however retained in nice shape. The winner here is the dial which shows very similar hues of the case and bracelet. We call it Pink on Pink which in the collectors commiunity is a sought after thing. The early matching dial is signed 'Swiss' and is period correct. The Dauphine hands are retained in nice condition and have been relumed a long time ago. It looks great on the wrist and doesn't break the bank |
