1978 Rolex Day Date Turquoise Stella Dial Ref. 18038

Gold print on Turquoise       - the Day Date has never had the standing on the market like it has today. Neglected for the longest time, collectors have now developed a stronger passion for the President of watches and realized how rare some of the examples actually are. We are obsessed with Day Dates and are constantly looking for exciting pieces, very high on our list are Stella dials. The market is running a bit dry on Stellas but we managed to get our hands on another spectacular one. What we have here is a stunning 18038 Day Date from 1978 with Turquoise Stella dial. The dial is mint and has a vibrant dark Turquoise color enhanced by the rare golden print. The original lume dots have aged to a yellowish brown tone and are perfectly matching the gilt on the dial. The watch has been loved, worn and cherished over the years. The case is fat with healthy proportions and showing some wear from age. Similarly the bracelet is showing some stretch which isn't much visible when on the wrist. This watch is glamorous, the color scheme of the dial is mesmerizing and something very very special.
