Here is an example we have just received, a Rolex Day Date 18239 in white gold from the mid-1990s and featuring a breath-taking silver dial with 10 Baguette markers. Regular diamond dials with Baguettes at 6 and 9 are the standard dials but having set every hour index with a Baguette diamond is a completely different story. These dials are incredibly rare - you will quickly find out when you start looking for one, even on yellow gold Day Dates – the fact that this is in white gold makes it even more interesting and really tough to come by.
Retained in unpolished condition this watch is razor sharp from every angle and one can clearly see the well-preserved factory finish without using a loupe. The watch comes on its matching President bracelet which remains sharp and tight.
The watch has a very pleasant monochrome character and believe-it-or-not, even with the large Baguette diamonds on the dial it is still kind of discreet – and glamorous at the same time
Rounding up the watch there is another interesting detail to mention here, the white Arabic calendar discs beautifully blending in and adding another layer of rarity to this exceptional Day Date.
