This absolute beautiful and mint Rolex Day Date 1807 was bought directly from the first owner's family who received it as gift from the Divan, the late Sultan Qaboos's Palace. The watch is in yellow gold and bears the rare 'Bark' finish on the bezel as well as on the bracelet center links. The case is very well retained and shows thick and even lugs with beautiful finishing. The Bark finish is very prominent and seems to have been only lightly polished in the past. The dial is amazing, not the conventional champagne color but a more yellowish matte finish dial which still bears the original luminous material and matching hands. The original bracelet is not showing much wear from age and seems to be one of the early versions with hidden clasp. The serial number is repeated in the case back confirming that the watch was a special order watch, in this case for the late Sultan Qaboos.
