Millanaise

When looking at Day Date configurations, the bracelet is usually the most generic part of a watch. In most cases a President bracelet, occasionally an Oyster or Jubilee bracelet but here we have something very special. This early 1803 Day Date is fitted with a mesmerizing and astonishing original Rolex Millanaise bracelet. Before we speak more about the bracelet, lets look at the case. We have here a beautifully retained 1803 case that is not showing much wear from age. As the pictures show, the lugs remain straight and even with sharp edges and are well defined. the fluted bezel is also in very nice condition and not showing much wear from age. The dial is silver and is decorated with yellow gold claw indexes giving the watch a very vintage and unique look. The 'claw' indexes are beautifully facetted and come with the matching sword hands which also add to the unique look of the watch. The calendar disc are in Spanish letting us assume that this watch was initially sold somewhere in South America. Back to the bracelet, the finely patterned Millanaise bracelet has a perfect fit to the case without showing major gaps or defects. It seems that this bracelet has not seen much wrist time as it remains in excellent condition without any damages to the mesh which is usually very common for these. It also seems unsized which is a big plus for this watch. Here's a pretty rare and unusual example of a 1803 Day Date that wont break the bank. Compared to other Millanaise bracelets from Rolex this is a very sturdy and solid one.
