The Polo Day date
The Piaget Polo is probably the most popular model by the brand representing a the sports line since the 1970s. Exclusively made in solid yellow or white gold these were luxury sports watches that came in different sizes, shapes and dial configurations.
Here’s the Piaget Polo Day Date - a rather unusual version of the Polo and maybe the most complicated movement version out there.
The 15562/701 was introduced in 1982 in 32mm diameter with a case thickness of 7mm, it was only produced until the late 1980s.
The majority of Piaget Polos was made in yellow gold and there is a number of two tone versions - here is the rare white gold variant with yellow gold gadroons that make this model so iconic.
The dial is grey and continued with the gold gadroons - the dial, bracelet and case are blending together as if they were one unit.
At 32mm it fits well on a men’s wrist while I would say this is a perfect unisex size.
