3970E Black Dial       - The Patek Philippe reference 3970 is a very iconic model from the past and shows beautiful vintage aesthetics with its pump pushers and down turned stepped lugs. It features a heavily modified Lemania 2310 based cal. CH 27-70 Q with Chronograph, Perpetual Calendar with Moonphase, day, date, 24h,month and leap year indication. The example offered here displays a black dial with diamond indexes, is encased in platinum and has the reference number 3970E with the 'E' standing for Etanche, meaning waterproof. It is offered in excellent condition with a sharp case retaining crisp hallmarks. The black diamond dial and platinum combination seems to be a winner among 3970s and in our opinion is the best looking one.
