1976 Rolex King Midas 'Stripe' Ref. 4344
Midas is Art - The King Midas collection which was born on 1962 carries some of the most quirky but interesting designs. The King Midas design of this 1976 reference 4344 feels ancient but at the same time it is carrying futuristic elements. The magnificent angular case as well as the integrated bracelet carry a rolled decoration in form of slim and fine bars aligned in a horizontal angle. The dial carries the 'Cellini' signature which tells us that this is one of the later examples when the Midas collection had merged into the Cellini collection. This King Midas is not only a watch but truly a design object of immense beauty. Only who wears this watch on the wrist will ever know. We are amazed.
