Details
Not only a Pink dial - What we have here is an absolute outstanding example of a Rolex Bubbleback dating back to the 1940s. It is hard to believe that even after approx. 80 years this watch looks the way it looks. The stainless steel and pink gold case case is fat, well proportioned and features incredibly well preserved lugs. The original pink gold bezel is well retained and complements the pink crown that is matching and retains the Brevet cross and Rolex Oyster inscription. Despite its age the crown is beautifully winding. But there is more, though this is a two tone watch the pink on pink feel is enhanced with the very well preserved pink dial that hardly shows any wear and retains the radium luminous, also on the pencil hands. To round this up and it couldn't be better without the original Rolex stainless steel and Pink Gold Beads of Rice bracelet that is only showing minimal wear from age. This ultra rare Bubbleback is probably the best two tone Bubbleback we have seen. With many of the 'Small Oysters' becoming more and more sought after by collectors these days, this is a feast for anyone who appreciates Bubbleback's as we do.
