The dial in this 18039 is a rare Birch Wood dial with a very warm and bright color. The dial is in new condition and does not show any blemishes or wear. The wood dials are sensitive to humidity and many you see around show waves which become detectable by gaps at the edges. This one however probably never came even close to humidity and remains in impeccable condition. The fact that the hands, indexes and crown are in silver color, means the dial was made in very small numbers specifically for a white metal watch, this enhances the rarity tremendously.
