The Buckley Datejust - We will come straight to the point with this one. This 1979 Datejust reference 16018 is one hell of a Datejust. Let us tell you why this particular piece is so interesting. The 18K case is strong, retaining healthy and thick lugs and a excellent condition fluted bezel. Unlike most 18K gold Datejusts, the current example is fitted with a factory Oyster bracelet which makes such a difference. It is in great condition showing beautiful factory brushing, only showing very minor wear from age. The clasp code is matching with the case numbers. The dial, it is a off-white Buckley dial with matching black hands, the roman numerals are painted directly on the dial. Something you don't see very often on gold Datejusts. The luminous dots have evenly aged to a beautiful light brown color and adding to the aesthetics of this watch. The best word to describe its appearance on the wrist is 'powerful', yes, this watch looks so good on the wrist and pictures just wouldn't do justice.
