The Square Royal Oak in Steel and Gold
The 6005 is part of the 'Wild Three', the Patek Philippe Nautellipse 3770, the Square Vacheron 222 and the Square Royal Oak. They are very quirky designs however aesthetically very pleasing. Another fact is that the brands did not make many of these, which in the age of today where everyone is seeking a unique watch, comes very handy. Here's the Audemars Piguet 6005SA in stainless steel and yellow gold. A 32x41mm case that with, with the integrated bracelet has a great size on the wrist as this is the Jumbo version of it. The watch offered here is in NOS condition not showing any wear from age. The gold elements of the watch have aged to a rosy color from storage over the last decades. The 6005 is AP's answer to the Quartz crisis and it proudly says that on the dial which in this case is the very rare silver dial as opposed to the Black dial. The bracelet and the fine Tapisserie dial are the two main characteristics that remind us of the iconic 5402 Royal Oak. You don't need a loupe to see that this watch is good, the condition speaks for itself.. Royal Oaks look best when they are crisp and sharp and this one seriously looks like new.
