The GMT Master was launched in 1954 as the reference 6542 featuring the Bakelite bezel. The following models had the reference 1675 in a gilt and matte version until 1978, most of these featured the Pepsi bezel. The present example is a stunning GMT with a originally black bezel insert and gives the watch a completely different look. Black inserts on GMTs are becoming more and more popular and coveted by collectors.
