1978 Rolex Submariner 18K Tropical Dial Ref. 1680
Tropical Sixteen Eighty - from time to time we see some awesome Tropical dials on all kinds of watches but this 1680 Submariner from 1978 is on another level. Over the last 44 years the initially blue dial turned perfectly caramel brown, it is really hard to believe. The surface of the dial is unblemished and the gilt graphics are fully intact. The contrast of the dial and bezel are out of this world. The overall condition of this sublime Submariner is very good and we love the fact that the dial is now unique. Not for the fainted heart.
