The Navy Submariner
The Submariner reference 16610 is one of the most popular Submariners and was produced from 1988 until 2010 when it was replaced by the 116610 with a completely new configuration making this the last Date Submariner with original dimensions. The example we have here is lovely with a strong and well defined case and overall great conditions. But what makes this very watch stand out are two points. One is that this is one of the early examples featuring the sought after Tritium dial marked at 6 with SWISS - T<25. The color of the Tritium luminous is very whitish and consistent with the original hands. But there is more, the really special feature is the bezel insert which has aged from black to a very glossy Navy color. That is something we don't see very often. Last but not least this 16610 comes with original Warranty, punched, dated and stamped by the retailer in Honolulu, Hawaii.
