Lapis on White gold - when it comes to Rolex Stone dials, amongst a few, the Lapis dial definitively seems to be a favourite. With its natural properties each dial is unique in its aesthetics. What we have here is a mint example of a Rolex Day Date 18239 from 1990. The dial is a Lapis Lazuli dial with 10 diamond indexes. Most stone dials are fitted in yellow gold cases and though these can be rare as well, the white gold variants are produced in much smaller numbers. The one presented here is not only rare but also a feast for the eyes. The combination of the blue Lapis dial and diamonds, goes beautifully with the warm white gold case. Overall a very very attractive watch for Day Date lovers. |
