Gubelin Swiss Brass Round Table Clock

This beautiful and unique desk clock is coming from the house of Gubelin, a Swiss retailer that we know not only from double signed Patek Philippe watches but also from some of the finest clocks in the world. The famous retailer in Switzerland has managed to establish itself also as a brand for watches and clocks that have become historically important.

We have here a beautiful Desk Clock presumably from the 1950s that is made of Gilt Brass. The case has a wide base for stable standing that features the case numbers 3473 and 587 underneath.

The round part of the clock is mounted to a small lip that is attached to the base, retaining the completely round shape of the clock. The clock has an inner and an outer bezel, the outer bezel is decorated with silver colored metal ornaments that harmonize with the hands. The inner bezel is Roman and applied under the plexi glass of the clock.

The dial itself is kept minimalistic in a very finely brushed finish and has no sort of print on it. Interestingly the hands are longer than the dial and reach into the Roman numerals on the bezel. The Gubelin signature can be found on the inner bezel at 6 o'clock.

This timepiece has a very interesting look , the white metal ornaments and hands contrast beautifully with the gilt brass case of the clock. This one will definitvely not go unnoticed.
