Details
Heuer parade - Launched in 1966, the Carrera Dato 45 reference 3147N was named after its 45 minutes register. The watch is powered by a Landeron caliber 189 who was one of the higher end movement makers at the time. This beautifully preserved example features a 1st Execution dial and dates back to 1968. The present dial shows a unusual positioning of the date at 12 o'clock whilst the second execution would see the date moved to the 9 o'clock position. The example offered here features another interesting specification. While most of the dial inscriptions were printed in white this one features a silver script, a small but outstanding feature. The 3147N was only produced for a short period making it one of THE sought after models from the Vintage Carreras. The watch is overall in great original condition with beautifully facetted lugs and tons of Carrera DNA. This very watch was sold at the Heuerparade Auction in 2017 hosted by Phillips and illustrated in "Heuer Carrera Chronographs 1963-85" by Richard Crosthwaite & Paul Gavin, pages 130,132,133.
