1970 Rolex Datejust Wide Boy Ref. 1603
When it comes to stainless steel vintage Rolex Datejusts then we usually think of plain silver, black, grey or blue dials where the latter are already considered as special. One of the most interesting dials for Datejusts and Day Dates is the so-called "Wide Boy" dial. The indexes on a Wide Boy dial are wider than normal indexes with two polished stripes on the edges and a matte inlay in the middle. These indexes completely transform the look of the dial and makes it much more prominent. Over the years most of these have lost their matching hands, we are happy to offer this watch with the original matching hands with a beautiful and consistent patina. A vintage Datejust to look out for, this watch will surely get some compliments.

Brief History
Rolex Datejust
Released in 1945 to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, the Datejust was the first automatic chronometer wristwatch to indicate the date through a window on the dial. The Datejust is characterized by its date window under the ‘cyclops’ window. Iconic vintage Datejusts were made in 36mm case diameter, with a range of steel and precious metal versions.
