Far less common than its steel counterparts, the gold GMT-Master was intended for a clientele who traveled with both purpose and style—those who demanded functionality without compromising on elegance.
The watch features a stunning matte brown “nipple” dial, named for its distinctive raised hour markers set in gold, paired with tritium lume and matching hands. The dial remains in beautiful condition, with a warm, even patina that complements the tone of the gold case. The gold print is is fully intact and stands out from the matte brown surface of the dial.
Surrounding it is a gold bezel that is holding a beautiful and consistently faded 24 hour bezel with fat font numbers. The very interesting taupe hue of the insert lends the watch a refined and monochromatic appearance.
The 40mm Oyster case remains strong with well-proportioned lugs and sharp lines. The case overall only shows light signs for its age.
