A great example of a great reference. This 5513 from 1971 is in overall very nice condition and has a attractive look. The case is in great shape and retains straight and even lugs. The early Serif dial is flawless and has perfect lumes which have aged to a yellowish hue. Finally the bezel insert has a fat font and has aged to a gun metal grey contrasting nicely with the lumes. A 5513 needs to be in every collection.
|Very good case that has been polished in the past. The lugs remain straight and show nice bevels. The numbers between the lugs are clear and fully intact. The fat font kissing 40 bezel insert has faded to a beautiful gunmetal grey color. The pearl is fully intact and matches the color of the Lumes.
|Bracelet / Strap
|Very good and matching C&I US Oyster with moderate stretch from wear. The clasp is stamped 1/71
|Excellent Serif dial with lumes that have aged to a yellowish cream color. The lumes on the hands have aged a few shades brighter than on the dial

The Submariner is characterized by its iconic black dial and diving bezel. A tool watch with a strong Rolex DNA, the Submariner is not only the most iconic Rolex, but probably the most iconic watch of all time.
