Large Diamonds - The 1804 reference is among the very early Day Dates with a factory diamond bezel, the white metal variants are white gold and platinum. Now, given the color of the metals it might not be easy to distinguish between these two, hence Rolex fitted the dial of the Platinum version with larger Diamonds. They are noticeably bigger, even if you don't hold a white gold 1804 in hand at the same time. if you know, you know. The current example is in overall very good condition and bears a mint condition dial, a dial which you really don't see often. We have paired it with a glossy grey Alligator strap but it could be worn on even vibrant colors. This watch is fun on the wrist, may it be with a Tuxedo or just a shirt, it is a stunner and we will catch the eyes of people around you.
