The Organic Tank
The Cartier Tank 'Organic' was produced in 1975 and 1976 exclusively for London and New York Boutiques. They featured a 20 micron gold plated base metal case with brown wooden side panels and a matching brown grained wood dial and gold sword hands. New York Boutique version had an elongated brown spinel cabuchon crown whereas the London Boutique edition had a shortt crown.
The Tank Organic came in two sizes, the smaller version measures 24x30mm and the larger so-called Jumbo version measures 25x34mm. Less than 3000 pieces seem to have been produced. The present example is the Jumbo version, powered by a manual winding movement.
The Tank Organic is a super cool Cartier that will turn heads and ask you to tell the story
