Black Tie - the first thing coming to our minds when thinking of Vintage Rolex is probably a Datejust. It was launched in 1945 and is probably the most ever sold watch from the brand with the crown. Apart from being one of the most iconic wrist watches it is very reliable, and very versatile, can be sported with a Tuxedo or even with shorts on the weekend. This 1978 Datejust is a great example with a ultra glossy black dial and fluted white gold bezel. Timeless and never looks old.

Brief History
Rolex Datejust
Released in 1945 to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, the Datejust was the first automatic chronometer wristwatch to indicate the date through a window on the dial. The Datejust is characterized by its date window under the ‘cyclops’ window. Iconic vintage Datejusts were made in 36mm case diameter, with a range of steel and precious metal versions.
