No matter which reference, the Daytona is the darling of most Vintage Rolex collectors and mostly they are coveted with a black dial. It’s a matter of taste on these if you chose a black bezel (6263), adding more contrast or a metal bezel (on the 6265) making the watch look bigger. The 6265 bears a very strong DNA with its stainless steel bezel like the 6239, 6262, 16520 and 116520. This very example has a razor sharp and fat case, retained very well since 1979. The Big Red dial is near mint and corresponds with the rest of the watch. A very attractive Daytona in super sharp condition.

Brief History
Rolex Daytona
The iconic ‘Daytona’ appeared on the Rolex Oyster Chronograph in 1965, in honor of the famed Florida racetrack.
The Daytona is characterized by its Chronograph function with the ‘Units Per Hour’ tachymeter bezel, which allows Miles Per Hour readings, along with its triple-register chronograph dial layout.
