Day Dates have have stepped forward into the limelight a while ago and are enjoying more and more attention. Especially those which come in rare and uncommon references or dial. The Onyx dial is one of the most popular if not the most popular stone dial. Collectors love the clean and neat look of the index-free dial. The number of Onyx dial Day Dates has gone tremendously down as they are going into more and more private collections. They are still available, however in small numbers and at always higher prices. This current example is from 1986 and has never been worn, nor has the watch seen a watchmaker before. The condition is simply the best possible. Over the last 30 years it has been sitting in the dark and has developed a dark patina on the case. a true New Old Stock.

Rolex Day-Date
Arguably one of the most iconic watches ever made, the Day-Date aka the Rolex President was introduced in 1956 and was the first to feature both the day and date in dedicated windows on the dial.
The Day-Date is the top model in the Rolex line-up and comes in an array of configurations with rare and special dials and case decorations. It has only ever been made in precious metals with Automatic movements and historically with an elegant diameter of 36mm - the perfect size for an iconic dress watch.
