1982 Rolex Explorer II Steve McQueen Ref. 1655
With its unique dial configuration the Steve McQueen Explorer is different from all other Rolex sports models. Initially introduced for Explorers the orange hand in combination with the 24h bezel helps to distinguish between night and day. This beautiful example bears a MK5 dial which is correct for the early 80s and has a beautiful vivid patina on lume and hands. We still don't know why it is named after Steve McQueen but it definitively adds to its iconic status. The Rolex Explorer II 1655 is probably one of the most undervalued Vintage Rolex out there but it has already started to gain more attraction amongst seasoned collectors.
