UAE Armed Forces - when it comes to commemorative Rolex watches of the UAE, there have been quite a few different references. Small Oysters, Datejusts, Day Dates and Sports Rolexes which all hold historical significance. Most of these watches were presented as gifts to Officers of the Army, foreign dignitaries and guests of State marking important events and achievements for the UAE Armed Forces. On some occasions we have been lucky to find these gifts in the exact same condition they were gifted, brand new and unworn as many think these watches were too precious to be worn. Well, an impeccable example has just landed. We are thrilled to offer a Rolex Day Date reference 18038 from 1984 with UAE Armed Forces logo on the dial. This very watch is in New Old Stock condition still bearing the green sticker on the case back. Its a rare condition for a rare watch and this is a great opportunity to have a watch with UAE provenance.

Brief History
Rolex Day-Date
Arguably one of the most iconic watches ever made, the Day-Date aka the Rolex President was introduced in 1956 and was the first to feature both the day and date in dedicated windows on the dial.
The Day-Date is the top model in the Rolex line-up and comes in an array of configurations with rare and special dials and case decorations. It has only ever been made in precious metals with Automatic movements and historically with an elegant diameter of 36mm - the perfect size for an iconic dress watch.
