1984 Rolex Submariner Ref. 16800 (Full Set)
Rolex Sport models from the 1980s are getting more and more sought after among existing collectors as well as by collectors getting into Vintage Rolex. The interesting part is to have the best from both worlds. A discontinued reference with patina on the dial as well as a sapphire crystal and quick set date making it functional on a daily basis even for wearers of contemporary modern watches. The present example is such a watch. It has a beautifully aged dial showing a nice aging on the Tritium and a very strong case with a beautifully preserved bezel. To put cream on top this watch comes in a beautiful collectors full set with box, original warranty certificate by Bucherer, anker and booklets.
|Case||Excellent stainless steel case that has been lightly polished in the past. The case is sharp and strong with straight lugs and factory bevels visible. Reference and serial numbers are fully intact and readable. The original bezel insert is in excellent condition and has a nicely aged brown pearl|
|Bracelet / Strap||The 93150 Oyster bracelet is in very good condition and shows only little wear from age. The clasp date stamp is I9 standing for 1984 making it matching with the case|
|Dial||The glossy dial has developed a beautiful satin finish over the years. It shows a very light bubbling around some of the hour markers only visible at magnification. The Tritium dots and hands have aged to a beautiful sand hue and are matching|

Released in 1954 at the Basel Watch Fair, the Submariner was the first watch to be water-resistant to 100m. The most recognizable watch in the Rolex line-up. The Submariner is characterized by its iconic black dial and diving bezel. A tool watch with a strong Rolex DNA, the Submariner is not only the most iconic Rolex, but probably the most iconic watch of all time.
