The most iconic watch - The Rolex Submariner Ref. 5513 is the Submariner every collector strives to own and not just one of them. It may not be the rarest vintage Diver – in fact it is actually one of the longest-running series in Rolex’s history, (1962 - 1989) – however it is considered by many collectors to be the epitome of the classic dive watch, and it's one of the most recognizable watches in the world. The condition makes it rare. The present example is from the last series and carries a glossy dial with white gold surrounds on the hour markers. It is retained in an incredibly well preserved condition with an unpolished case and and a flawless dial showing beautiful patina on lume plots and hands. This 1985 example is a feast on the wrist with its strong and sharp case and exceptional patina on the dial.
|Case||Excellent unpolished case with very little wear from age. The lugs are well defined retaining crisp factory bevels. The bezel is also sharp and unpolished, carries the original black insert which is also in great condition|
|Bracelet / Strap||Original matching 91350 Oyster bracelet with clasp code G, standing for 1983 and matching with the case. The bracelet is in equally crisp unpolished condition and only shows minimal stretch from age, has 10 links|
|Dial||Excellent black glossy dial with white gold surrounds. The original lume on dial and hands has taken a strong Vanilla patina which is very consistent and clean.|
Released in 1954 at the Basel Watch Fair, the Submariner was the first watch to be water-resistant to 100m. The most recognizable watch in the Rolex line-up. The Submariner is characterized by its iconic black dial and diving bezel. A tool watch with a strong Rolex DNA, the Submariner is not only the most iconic Rolex, but probably the most iconic watch of all time.
