The most iconic watch - The Rolex Submariner Ref. 5513 is the Submariner every collector strives to own and not just one of them. It may not be the rarest vintage Diver – in fact it is actually one of the longest-running series in Rolex’s history, (1962 - 1989) – however it is considered by many collectors to be the epitome of the classic dive watch, and it's one of the most recognizable watches in the world. The condition makes it rare. The present example carries a glossy dial with white gold surrounds on the hour markers. It is retained in an incredibly well preserved condition with a lightly polished case and a nice glossy dial with the tritium lume plots and hands aging to a vanilla color. This 1986 example is a feast on the wrist with its strong and thick case.
|Case||Very nice and fat case that has been polished in the past and is showing light wear from age. The lugs remain straight and even with clear numbers inbetween. The bezel is sharp and the insert is beautiful with matching pearl|
|Bracelet / Strap||Very nice matching solid Oyster showing light stretch from wear. Clasp code dates to 1986|
|Dial||Very nice glossy dial with white gold surrounds that has slightly started to turn matte only in certain lighting. The Tritium lumes on dial and hands have aged to a vanilla color|
Released in 1954 at the Basel Watch Fair, the Submariner was the first watch to be water-resistant to 100m. The most recognizable watch in the Rolex line-up. The Submariner is characterized by its iconic black dial and diving bezel. A tool watch with a strong Rolex DNA, the Submariner is not only the most iconic Rolex, but probably the most iconic watch of all time.
