1988 Rolex Datejust White Roman Ref. 16620
You can never go wrong with a Datejust. The most iconic Dress watch of all times, unbeaten since 1945 when it was firstly launched still follows the same design until today. There are numerous references and variations but the DNA is noticable on the first look. This great example is from the late 1980s and has a white dial with applied roman numerals. Though its an updated version with Sapphire crystal it still bears tritium luminous, I would say the best of both worlds.

Brief History
Rolex Datejust
Released in 1945 to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, the Datejust was the first automatic chronometer wristwatch to indicate the date through a window on the dial. The Datejust is characterized by its date window under the ‘cyclops’ window. Iconic vintage Datejusts were made in 36mm case diameter, with a range of steel and precious metal versions.
