1991 Rolex Submariner 18K Unpolished Blue Tritium Dial Ref. 16618
The Blue Submariner - Rolex Sports models in 18K gold are known as bricks on the wrist with a substantial weight. Don't get us wrong, there is nothing wrong with that, this is, in fact, something which buyers of these like. The combination of yellow gold on a sports watch has something sexy. The here offered watch is such an example, it just looks wow on the wrist and has a nice feel to it. The condition of this example is astonishing, it remains unpolished and still shows the factory bevels and finishing. Another interesting fact is that this 16618 has a tritium dial with nicely aged cream color Luminous with matching hands. These Neo Vintage Submariners are for every day wear, given that they have a Sapphire crystal and are actually water resistant. This watch is the perfect watch for the sea, no matter if you are swimming or on a boat. It just looks so good in the Sun.
|Case||Excellent and unpolished 18K case still retaining the factory finish. The lugs are straight and even showing beautiful bevelling. Numbers on the case are crisp and fully intact. The insert is in like new condition, has probably been replaced in the past.|
|Bracelet / Strap||The 18K Oyster bracelet is unpolished and tight, probably hasn't had much wrist time in the past. It has 12 links and the original divers extension.|
|Dial||Excellent Blue Tritium dial with original Luminous and matching hands. The Lumes have aged to a beautiful cream color, giving this watch a very warm and vintage look|
Released in 1954 at the Basel Watch Fair, the Submariner was the first watch to be water-resistant to 100m. The most recognizable watch in the Rolex line-up. The Submariner is characterized by its iconic black dial and diving bezel. A tool watch with a strong Rolex DNA, the Submariner is not only the most iconic Rolex, but probably the most iconic watch of all time.
