The Livid Datejust - we are going to come straight to the point when we talk about this Datejust. The color of the dial is insane. The presumely Blue dial on this 1993 Rolex Datejust 16200 has turned into a beautiful blue-grey, also called livid color which in combination with the stainless steel turned this watch into a Unicorn. The case is sharp and fat retaining straight and even lugs with well defined lines all over. Datejusts live and die with the dial, this one is one of the best colors we have seen so far.
|Case||Very thick case showing some light wear from age. The edges remain crisp with straight and even lugs. The smooth bezel is also in strong condition with sharp edges|
|Bracelet / Strap||Very good 62510H Jubilee with moderate stretch from age and 2009 dated clasp. 22 links|
|Dial||Excellent dial that has aged to blue-greyish hues, a color we haven't seen often. The lumes are perfect and matching the hands|
Released in 1945 to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, the Datejust was the first automatic chronometer wristwatch to indicate the date through a window on the dial. The Datejust is characterized by its date window under the ‘cyclops’ window. Iconic vintage Datejusts were made in 36mm case diameter, with a range of steel and precious metal versions.
