The Salmon dial - Sometimes all we need is a Datejust and we mean that. The Datejust, not long ago, had been such a underrated model and only in the past 24months or so, collectors have been looking more into this. As none of the references from the 70s on is really rare its more the dial which has our attention. This super nice 16234 Datejust is fitted with a very vibrant Salmon dial with applied Roman numerals. This watch looks so good. Very elegant on one hand, a daily beater on the other hand. You can never go wrong with a Datejust.

| Case | Excellent stainless steel case that has been recently polished and is not showing much wear from age. The lugs are fat, remain straight and even with clear numbers inbetween. |

Brief History
Rolex Datejust
Released in 1945 to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, the Datejust was the first automatic chronometer wristwatch to indicate the date through a window on the dial. The Datejust is characterized by its date window under the ‘cyclops’ window. Iconic vintage Datejusts were made in 36mm case diameter, with a range of steel and precious metal versions.
