Details
The Tortue XL - The Cartier Tortue XL was launched in 2006 as part of the Collection Privee Cartier Paris and made only in precious metals. This particular piece is cased in Platinum and bears the silvered signature guilloche dial signed Cartier Paris. The blued Breguet style hands are elegant and at the same time very masculine. The beautifully decorated mechanical caliber 9601MC was made by Jaeger LeCoultre and is visible through the sapphire display case back. The Tortue is a large watch but the case shape and proportions make it very wearable. The platinum examples of the CPCP are becoming more and more important for collectors and finding good examples is a tough task. We are happy to offer this very rare Tortue together with all paperwork and including the original purchase receipt from Malaysia in 2007. To put the cherry on top, this example is numbered No.001 of less than 100 pieces made.
