The Mystery Clock by the House of Faberge was distributed by Fanklin Mint in the United States, this particular example is from 1988. The clock is encased in Sterling Silver with 24k gold plating and hand finished in black porcellain. The case is covered in 28 natural seed pearls of which 12 indicate the hours around the dial. The design of the clock is typical of the Faberge style: elegant, simple and refined. It also exudes the imagery of Tsarist Russia with it's beautiful gold cupolas which act as supports for the clock dial. The mystery of the clock is how the hands move but appear to have no supporting mechanism. The clock is swiss made; the mechanism is quartz powered. It is an absolutely magnificent piece and is in immaculate condition. This exceptional Art time piece comes with its original case.
