Best Dressed Men and their Choice of Watches

It’s not only women who get attention for their fashion. A new breed of men has brought some serious fashion to the table.

From the slick one button Tom Ford tux of Daniel Craig’s rejuvenated James Bond; to the retro glam vibe of a velvet dinner jacket with wide lapels, oversized bow tie and waistcoat, channeled by Justin Timberlake; or the airport chic sported by Brad Pitt, with hats and loose shirts and tees ever so nonchalantly tucked or un-tucked into his linen trousers, the best dressed men have set the style bar pretty high.

But great style isn’t just about clothing… After all, men are not playing dressing up. To me accessorizing is key to a man’s look, and apart from neckwear, you might have noticed I’m very invested in watches.

Daniel Craig inhabited spectacularly James Bond because he has an impeccable sense of style himself. Some of us certainly looked on with envy at his tailor-made Brioni suit in Casino Royale or the chic Tom Ford tux in Skyfall, and some of us wanted his watches. Like the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M SKYFALL. Equipped with a unidirectional rotating diving bezel and a helium escape valve, water resistant at 600 meters, powered by Omega's exclusive new Co-Axial calibre 8507 and available as a limited edition of 5,007 pieces, this watch deserves all the praise.

The ultimate trendy dad, Brad Pitt is also a watch aficionado. His endorsement for Tag Heuer is based on a true appreciation for the heritage of the brand, and he’s been a collector of vintage Heuer for several years. He does occasionally wear other brands and models, notably Rolex Explorer I and Patek Philippe Nautilus, both watches made for adventures and expeditions.

As for the talented Justin Timberlake, he is a true style maker. Where he treads, legions follow, and his watch choices are testament to that. From the simple and elegant Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control 1000 Hours (that he worked into the story of Bad Teacher) to the rugged and dependable Breitling Chronomat B01 (with a 70-hour running movement and a 500m water resistant case), this is a man with range, a master at reinventing himself.
